About
I have nearly two decades of design optimization and numerical modeling experience. This includes programming and developing numerous numerical modeling tools utilizing both high and low fidelity physics-based algorithms. Many of the codes I have developed include implementing design optimization schemes, mesh generation and manipulation algorithms, and thermal, fluid, and mechanical models. My coding expertise includes but is not limited to languages such as C/C++, Fortran, and Python.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University in the spring of 2023. During my dissertation, I developed design optimization algorithms to optimize the rotor of a fan designed for boundary layer ingesting inlets. In addition to the optimization codes, I developed a tool, called the Blade Altering Toolbox (BAT), that takes in the numerical representation of a turbomachinery blade and performs physical alterations to the model to automate the changes made to the model between design iterations.
In recent years, I acted as the Principal Investigator and one of the lead engineers in developing a multi-objective lattice optimization tool. My tasks in developing the tool were to formulate and program multiple modules including the mechanical and thermal objective models, and the unstructured mesh generation for the lattice structures to be used in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis modeling.
